Setup Floating License Environment
With a floating license, a number of client machines can work with Visual Paradigm’s product concurrently based on limit on the concurrent access specified on the floating license.
Setting up the License Server
Double-click on the installer to start the installation.
If you want to make the license server become a system service and startup automatically, select
Install service Floating License Server Service and choose
Start on bootup.
During installation, you have to specify the port number and the location of your license key. The key you choose should have
floatinglicense.keys as its name.
Start your license server when finished installation. You can start the server from the Start Menu.
Setting up the Client
Double-click on the installer to start installation.
During installation, please make sure you are installing the correct product and edition that match your license key.
Please do not specify any license key during installation.
Start up the application and you will be prompted for the license key. Select

Note: If there is/are key(s) related to the floating licensed product, please remove the existing key(s) from the repository before importing the floating license key. Please read

Press
Test Connection to check whether or not the client can reach the license server.
If every thing is fine, press OK to confirm. You should now see an empty License Key Manager (showing an empty License Key Manager is correct for using floating license).
Press the
