Replacing Patch

If you have reported a bug for one of the Visual Paradigm’s products, our engineers will investigate the problem and fix the bug. Once the bug is fixed, our support team will send you the patch for testing on the reported bug.

The following steps show you how to replace patch with the existing installation.

1. Follow the instructions given by the support team to get the patch (vpplatform.jar).
2. Copy the vpplatform.jar and replace the one inside the %VP_Suite_Installation_Directory%/lib directory.
3. Restart the application.

The following steps show you how to replace patch with the existing installation.

1. Follow the instructions given by the support team to get the patch (vpplatform.jar).
2. Copy the vpplatform.jar and replace the one inside the %VP_Suite_Installation_Directory%/lib directory.
3. Restart the application, VP-UML.
4. Execute IDE Integration (Tools > IDE Integration) to update the integration with the latest library.
   
   Note: Only the installed IDE Integration will be updated as shown in gray on the VP-UML Integration dialog box.

   Note: Only the installed product will be updated as shown on the Products Configuration page of the VP Suite installer wizard.
