In this release, we have introduced a branch and tag capability to our VP Teamwork Server, Subversion and CVS repository integration. With advanced branch and tag support, different modeling projects can run in parallel while keeping the release quality project stable in the trunk. User Interface Designer is also introduced in this release for screen mock up in the early stages of a software development project. Usability of Sequence Diagram is increased a lot in this release, as Sequence Diagrams are the most popular diagrams used for dynamic modeling. There are also a number of enhancements for various other features.

Different trees provide a different view point of the project, and you can browse or search and locate models in different trees, or focus on a specific level of tree in your project. In this new version VP-UML will remember your opened and selected tree nodes even if you exit and restart the application.

With our new release, SDE for Eclipse (SDE-EC) has been greatly improved to make it easier to use both in diagramming and collaboratiing through the VP Teamwork Server, CVS and Subversion. Improvements include automatic starting or switching VP project when opening the diagram editor, remembering opened diagrams and tree states between sessions, easy switching between modeling and coding perspectives, as well as providing complete support for Java 5.0, allowing for more stable visual refactoring and improved performance.

In this release the usability of SD has been greatly improved, with new features such as: - creating combined fragment by group resource - indicating added or removed message/ LifeLine in the combined fragment by flashing - swapping messages by pop-up menu or keyboard shortcut - selecting ‘all above’ or ‘all below’ messages - creating notes from messages and/or activations - merging activations by group resource - supports creating ‘Found/Lost’ messages using the Resource-centric Interface.
